This sign was created for the Rose Bruford Student Union as part of my college course. it is made from polystyrene and ply and was painted to give it a weathered Elizabethan look.

8' by 4' Canvas Recreation

Picture
Part of the college course was to create a 8' X 4' colour painting from a reference image of my choice. i chose a cell from the graphic novel Sandman The Kindly Ones by Neil Gaiman. The Painting was crated using a grid method to enlarge the image up and then was colour matched to the original reference piece.

Sculted Head in situe in colllege grounds
This is a resin replica on a wooden base of a bronze piece from the British Museum built as part of my second year at univercity. the head was first sculpted in clay then a two part waste mould was built and the resin was layed into it. the piece was then painted to look like oxidised bronze and mounted on a simple wooden box that was painted with black shilack to give it a high gloss

Steampunk Goggles

Picture
These are a pair of steampunk Goggles i created for a production of A Mid summers Night Dream. the goggles are made from sound materials and leather and the lenses have the opportunity to be changed to any colour to suite the situation. the goggles are rested on a hat for the show but are completely wearable.

Picture
Timber Costructed tree for Midsummers Night Dream. this was then coated in chicken wire and then sprayed with expanding foam that was then painted to give the illusion of an organic tree. the tree needed to separate into three pieces for transportation so locking mechamnisms were used to match the tree up as well as creating a secure structure for actors to inteact with

The Tailor's Tricycle

Picture
Built for a production of A Midsummers Night Dream, this is a prop that is used by the character Robert Starvling as his traveling shop in the world of the play. he bike is built from an old bicycle that has been modified so that i becomes a tricycle. the table is in the style of a sewing table and the piece is dressed up so it seams that the character would have to cycle so that he can produce enough power to be able to work.
